A Woodman

Lupita Rios Mayorga

many years ago, more than a woman as I can tell, in a forest very new "God put a man named Paul to care for their offspring. As the forest was newly planted small trees rising from the ground only about ten centimeters. God told Paul to stop growing only those who had a green label on the cup. Those without it should be pruned so they do not contaminate the development and health of children.

God gave Paul a blade no more than six inches long and two wide. With this, "he said slowly can cut all weeds and root out the sprouts that you have marked.

Paul looked around the garden and the task seemed simple. Haunted by the different shades of green fell into a dreamy light and said - I can get some sleep before starting work. So they huddled in the warm earth and slept. He slept for five years.

When he saw the awakening forest, was stunned. The outbreaks that were previously only had his glass high above his head. I could see a new bush and wanted to rush to work. Calculated that with his knife could ever cut down the trees without label and all the undergrowth accumulated, so it was with God and asked for a different tool. He said "God, I ate a strange fruit that made me sleep without my desire, only eager to work. God, knowing the nature of Paul responded "I'll give a steel blade machete to start working now. "Right now I will clean your forest undergrowth, Lord, you can trust me," said energetic. Paul

faced rooted weeds and had to dig with a machete, did not seem the best tool but struggled a bit. Just cut a tree trunk and was unlabeled exhausted. He was sweating and felt a heavy thirst. He looked a little water and after cooling considered it an exaggeration to think that was too much work. It said I am a man who can clear and clean like this, one hundred forests, so feeling proud of his strength and manhood, was both warm and comfortable place where he had stayed and enjoyed the view. No case was so bad after all. Wondering about the dimensions of the work fell asleep again a little nap. He slept for five years.

Ten years had passed, the forest was a maze of leaves, branches and weeds reports. It smelled bad all the leaves that lack of sunshine, suffered from an unbearable humidity and had lost its freshness. Paul scratched his head. He felt very rested but should invent an excuse to ask God for a new tool. With something less than a saw could not fix this catastrophe forest. Perhaps it would take a week or two ways ... open a path, a bit of form. He brooded, calculated and walked to the office of God.

"Sir, something happened. A man came and hit me in the head. He gave me a whip so hard that I lost consciousness and was in a coma for nearly five years. Five years and more, "replied God. "Yes, but look at me. Despite the attack and I'm ready to go. If you lend me a chainsaw in less than a month we deliver the forest as you dreamed. God nodded, knowing the nature of Paul, and gave him an electric saw, cutting edge technology, the most advanced of its kind. Paul departed happy thinking about missed opportunities ... if there cut the first outbreak, had uprooted ... Knew this time was not exaggerating, but as long to finish now and fulfill their commitment to God, was willing to work with all his pluck and estimated finish time.

With open legs and his right hand rested on the mountains seeking balance to calculate quickly how should start. First tried to get rid of the weed. The saw no use for cutting the weeds which were glued to the floor, nor served to remove the roots of dead trees. Was able to cut and shape three trees whose labels appear faded on the tops, and again felt tired which made him sweat like a horse under the August sun. Felt that the task was difficult but he was trained, after a break, to finish. If God had given talents certainly had extraordinary lumberjack and gardener. He drank some water, sat at the base of one of the stumps, and contemplated the task.

Maybe if I rest a little, he said, I can regain the strength to finish. Paul knew that if anything fell asleep a little more, God would give the accurate tool to finish its work. He curled up on some dry leaves and slept. Slept five years.

Paul cried upon waking. Just had a little light that dared to cross the very short spaces between the trunks and leaves. The humidity had broken down the plants to the point that between the paste made of rotting leaves and soil, worms and fungi that amazing flooded forest. It seemed to Paul that God had given him an impossible task, which had played a joke. She cried again when she saw her hands and tried to move his body. He was old and arthritic. His body, like the trees had been deformed and suffered the cruel effects of time, humidity and neglect. Full of bitterness pondered seeking the solution of such a predicament. Should bring an explanation to his employer, should think the best way to fix the forest, had to ask the right tool for the job.

wiped her tears to refresh his face as he approached the office of his employer. God was loving and listened to the lies of his pawn.

"Sir, I was working hard when I was attacked by a strange disease, see my hands, dry and bony, I can barely move. Do you see, sir? Then fell prey to a malignant fever which knocked me on the ground and sweated for months, suffered pain and struggling to clean your wood. But as I got up, I am willing to work for you. God asked him if he knew what tools needed for the task. Paul said he wanted the first knife he had given "the small-which was no more than six inches long and two wide. He assured that the pattern that would end its work in record time.

He looked sadly at her son as they walk away into the forest. God knows everything. God knew that Paul, before reaching the location of tagged trees in a clearing, he'd stop to mourn, to reproach his indolence and neglect and to draw the eyes to the bitterness of lost time. God knew that Paul, in a fit of grief and rage, he would nail in his chest in the middle of the heart the dagger with which he could have done a beautiful forest. God's soul cried when Paul came into his arms and released from duty.
